3.day .

Vardzia – Rabat – Borjomi

The city of Vardzia-an underground city founded in the 12th century by Queen Tamara, could accommodate about 20 thousand people. There were a large number of tunnels, alleys and stairs; in addition to the monastery, inside there were several residential buildings, libraries and even a water supply system. The most amazing thing about the Vardzia project was that it had 13 floors, including more than 600 rooms.

Rabat Fortress- is the largest fortress in Georgia, founded in the 9th century. Inside the fortress walls there is a lot of interesting things - a palace, towers, courtyards with pools and fountains, enfilades, a small labyrinth garden.

The resort town of Borjomi- is located in the southwest of Georgia. It stretches along the coast of the Kura River for 5 kilometers. There are few high-rise buildings in the ancient town; the bulk of residential buildings are houses of the 19th century. Kakheti-Bodbe-Sighnaghi

On the way we will stop at a Travertine mountain along which mineral water flows and we will try it.

Arrival in Stepantsminda. For almost 100 years, until 2007, it was known as Kazbegi, but recently its historical name was returned to it.

We will see Mount Kazbek - one of the most famous peaks of the Caucasus Mountains (5033 m). Monastery of the Holy Trinity "Gergeti" (Monastery on Kazbek), which is located at 2200 m above sea level!

Martvili Canyon – Prometheus Cave
