Begin your Georgia adventure with a guided walk through Tbilisi — a city that effortlessly blends medieval history, Soviet heritage, and bold contemporary architecture into one of the most characterful capitals in the Caucasus.
Old Tbilisi:
Abanotubani — Tbilisi's legendary sulfur bath district, a neighborhood defined by domed bathhouses, steaming streets, and centuries of tradition
Anchiskhati Church — the oldest surviving building in Tbilisi, a 5th-century basilica in the heart of the old city
Meidan Square (Vakhtang Gorgasali Square) — the historic hub of Old Tbilisi, once the city's main bazaar and trading crossroads
Shardeni Street — Tbilisi's most vibrant pedestrian lane, lined with wine bars, galleries, and outdoor terraces
Sololaki Stairs — a hidden gem of Old Tbilisi, offering a scenic walk through one of the city's most picturesque historic neighborhoods
New Tbilisi:
Metekhi Church — a dramatic clifftop church overlooking the Mtkvari River, one of Tbilisi's most recognizable silhouettes
Freedom Square — the symbolic heart of Georgia's political and civic life, surrounded by grand architecture
Gabriadze Puppet Theater — a beloved Tbilisi institution famous for its intricate clock tower and whimsical performances
Rike Park — a futuristic riverside park that showcases Tbilisi's modern architectural ambitions
Bridge of Peace (Peace Bridge) — Tbilisi's iconic illuminated glass footbridge across the Mtkvari River, one of the most photographed spots in Georgia
Day 2 — Mtskheta, Gori & Uplistsikhe (09:00 – 19:00)
A full day exploring ancient Georgia — from early Christian monasteries and Georgia's holiest cathedral to a Soviet-era museum and a prehistoric cave city carved into the rock.
Jvari Monastery (6th–7th century) — one of the oldest churches in Georgia, dramatically positioned on a hilltop above the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers. Immortalized in Lermontov's poem "Mtsyri" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jvari remains one of the most visited and spiritually significant sites in the country.
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, Mtskheta — Georgia's most sacred church and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 11th century, the cathedral is believed to house the burial robe (tunic) of Christ and the relics of Saint Andrew the Apostle. The spiritual center of the Georgian Orthodox Church for over a millennium.
Stalin Museum, Gori — visit the birthplace of Joseph Stalin and explore the museum dedicated to his life, rise to power, and legacy. One of the most visited and thought-provoking museums in Georgia.
Goristsikhe Fortress — a striking multi-level medieval fortress rising from a rocky hill in the center of Gori, crowned by a large cathedral and offering panoramic views over the city and surrounding valley.
Uplistsikhe Ancient Cave City — one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia, carved directly into sandstone cliffs over 3,000 years ago. This remarkable rock-hewn city features temples, throne halls, tunnels, and streets — an open-air archaeological wonder and one of Georgia's most unique historical sites.
Day 3 — Kazbegi, Ananuri & Gudauri Mountain Tour (09:00 – 20:00)
The most popular day trip from Tbilisi — a scenic drive along the legendary Georgian Military Road into the heart of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, culminating at the foot of Mount Kazbek.
Zhinvali Reservoir — a stunning turquoise mountain lake visible from the road north, one of the most photographed natural landmarks on the way to Kazbegi
Ananuri Fortress — one of Georgia's most visited and best-preserved medieval castle complexes, perched dramatically above the reservoir with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains
Pasanauri — a scenic highland village where you can witness the remarkable natural phenomenon of the Black and White Aragvi rivers flowing side by side without merging. Taste traditional Georgian mountain honey and chacha at a local stop.
Gudauri Ski Resort — Georgia's premier mountain resort, famous for skiing, snowboarding, and paragliding, with some of the most dramatic panoramic views in the Caucasus
Arch of Friendship (Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument) — a sweeping Soviet-era mosaic viewpoint high in the mountains, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Caucasus range and a turquoise lake below
Travertine Rock — a unique natural formation where mineral-rich water flows directly down the mountainside. Stop to taste it fresh from the source.
Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) — a high-altitude village nestled beneath the mighty Mount Kazbek (5,033 m), one of the highest and most iconic peaks in the entire Caucasus
Gergeti Trinity Church — Georgia's most iconic landmark, a medieval church standing alone at 2,200 m above sea level, dramatically framed against Mount Kazbek and the glaciers. A jeep transfer to the summit is available (20 GEL, not included).
Day 4 — Kakheti Wine Tour: Signagi, Bodbe & Qvevri Tasting (09:00 – 20:00)
Your final day takes you into Kakheti — the cradle of Georgian wine, home to over 8,000 years of winemaking history and some of the most beautiful landscapes in the South Caucasus.
Kakheti Bread Baking — on the drive through Kakheti, stop to watch traditional Georgian bread being baked in a clay tone oven, and join in the baking yourself if you'd like — a truly hands-on cultural experience
Signagi — "The City of Love" — Kakheti's most charming and romantic town, built in the style of southern Italian classicism with a 17th-century fortress, cobblestone streets, and sweeping views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains beyond. One of the most visited towns in Georgia.
Alazani Valley Viewpoint — enjoy panoramic views over Kakheti's famous vineyard-covered valley, stretching to the horizon with the Greater Caucasus as a backdrop
Bodbe Monastery — the resting place of Saint Nino, the 4th-century missionary who brought Christianity to Georgia. A peaceful and historically rich convent set in beautifully kept gardens above the Alazani Valley.
Saint Nino's Holy Spring — descend through the monastery gardens to the sacred spring of Saint Nino, a place of pilgrimage visited by Georgians and travelers from across the world
