An excursion to Vardzia is a journey into the heart of ancient Georgia, where you will witness unique architectural landmarks, learn about the country's history, and enjoy the natural beauty of the region. This resort town is famous worldwide for its mineral waters. We will visit one of the Borjomi springs, where you can taste the famous mineral water directly from the source, and enjoy a walk in the scenic surroundings. Vardzia — the second destination on our route. Vardzia is a unique cave complex carved into the rock, built in the 12th century. This historic complex, one of the most significant medieval monuments in Georgia, includes several churches, monasteries, and living quarters carved into the cliffs. A walk through Vardzia will allow you to feel the grandeur and atmosphere of ancient times. Khertvisi Fortress — the next stop on our journey. Khertvisi is one of the oldest and best-preserved fortresses in Georgia, located on a high hill.
